Abstract Guidelines



We are excited about your contribution to Oklahoma Research Day. Please ensure your abstract submission complies with the following guidelines:

 

ABSTRACT TITLE LIMIT

 

Your title must be less than 200 characters.

 

ABSTRACT TITLE FORMAT

 

When formatting your title, capitalize all words with the exception of words with three letters or less. For example:

  • The Diffusion of Information Communication Technologies at the Local Level of Government
  • Human Ovarian Cancer Cell Protein Kinase C Isoform Identification and Response
  • A Comparison of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997
  • Are Autistic Characters in Fiction Realistic? Artistic Expressions: Music and the Creative Educational Experience

 ABSTRACT LIMIT

 

Your abstract should be no more than 1,500 characters.

 

Use a word processing program to type your abstract and rely on the word count function to verify the number of characters with spaces. In addition, allow the word processing program to check for misspellings.

 

ABSTRACT CONTENT

 

Your abstract should include:

1)      Objective of the research;

2)      Thesis or hypothesis;

3)      Methodology or approaches to address the thesis or hypothesis; and

4)      Summary of the findings or relevant results associated with the project.

TIPS FOR SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT

 

ü  Use a word processing program (e.g., Microsoft Word) to mitigate spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Then, copy and paste the text into the abstract submission form.

ü  You may also be able to catch misspellings and grammatical errors by using Chrome as your web server instead of Internet Explorer.
